Ronald G. Hartman, Sr., 77, of Moline, Illinois, died peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2013. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
Ronald Gene Hartman was born on February 25, 1935, to Minnie and Joseph Hartman at home in Moline. He graduated from Moline High School in 1953, and retired from the Rock Island Post Office.
Ronald was born with a gifted sense of humor. He could get laughs even from our friends when we were growing up. He enjoyed coin collecting, bike riding, walks along the river, and strawberry ice cream. He?d try anything once, saying ?Oh, why not?? As beloved father, grandpa, uncle and friend, he had much wisdom.
He is survived by three children, Ronald Hartman Jr. of East Moline, John Hartman and his wife Lisa of Silvis, and Tammy Hartman of East Moline; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Our Dad went through the white light shortly after midnight Friday morning and now will spend eternity with his true Father. Rest in peace, Dad.
