Ronald E. Mcgee

Ronald E. McGee, 82, of East Moline, Illinois, died Friday, July 30, 2021, in Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour before services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities, and entombment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery Columbarium. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Humane Society.

Ronald Eugene McGee was born July 9, 1939, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Billie Victor and Ruby Jane (Teeter) McGee. He served in the US Air Force, and was an engineer with Moline Consumers. He was a member of Silvis Lodge #898, AF & AM; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Moline; Eagles Lodge; and Operating Engineers Local 150. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, cooking, and golf.

He is survived by three children and spouses, Lorrie Stogsdill of Morris, Illinois, Randy and Emily McGee of Madison, Alabama, and Shawn and Rose McGee of East Moline; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Handling of Ottumwa, Iowa; and a special friend, Rachel Morrow of Silvis.
