Robert C. Sarver

Robert C. Sarver, 88, of Moline, Illinois, went to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Harmony Nursing Home, Davenport, Iowa. 

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Faith Baptist Church located at 520 12^th Street, Moline, Illinois.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Bob was born June 28,1935, in Allison Park, Pennsylvania, the son of Cyril and Martha Sarver.  

He worked in sales for Marburger Farm Dairy and then moved to Illinois where he was in motorcycle sales for many years.  Bob had a phenomenal servant’s heart for helping people and enjoyed doing handyman work, moving, gardening, or just providing transportation to those who had need.  He enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, and doing crossword puzzles.  He fully participated and served at Faith Baptist Church and was a vital participating member of a men’s Bible study on Tuesday mornings.  

Bob is survived by three children, Paul of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mark of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Cheryl (Frank) McNany of  Greenbriar, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by older sisters Barbara Vogelsang, Madison, Wi and Sally in Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and two younger siblings.

Friends and  family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Harmony Nursing Home, Genesis Hospice Care, and the neighbors at Morningstar Apts for the excellent compassionate and loving care given to Bob.
