Robert R. Griffiths

Robert Griffiths, 61, of Milan, Illinois, died Saturday, February 19, 2022, at home.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, immediately followed by a hospitality gathering at Friend’s Circle, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Robert Ray Griffiths was born on August 7, 1960, in Darlington, Wisconsin, the son of Jack Ray and Sherri Kay (Hootman) Griffiths. He married the love of his life, Amanda Seefieldt on July 3, 2021.

Bob worked as an auto mechanic for Ziebart and Bridgeway, and later worked in maintenance and detailing services. He loved racing stock cars, working on cars (always helping family and friends for a fraction of the cost), model cars, crafting, camping and fishing. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Bob, especially his grandchildren and sister, Crystal.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Griffiths; four children, Amanda Carlson, Jessica Griffiths-McGartland, Ashlie Seefieldt and Christopher Seefieldt; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mike Griffiths, Dale Griffiths, Crystal Northrup, David Anderson, Sissy Walker, and Regina Chestnut; his aunt, Mary Kay Metz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Griffiths; mother and step-father, Sherri and Don Anderson; siblings, Sue Henderson and Don Anderson; and a niece, Michelle Chandler.
