Robert M. “Heavy” Davis, 52, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, December 4, 2020, at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island.

Memorial service will be Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 2pm at Greater Works Church in Moline, IL and will be live streamed on Facebook. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Robert Michael Davis was born January 8, 1968, in Rock Island, IL; the son of Joe Lewis Shelton and Sandra Soldholt.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going fishing and helping others. He was the life of the party wherever he went, he loved to make people laugh. He also loved his family and friends dearly.

Robert M. “Heavy” Davis was preceded in his homegoing by his parents: Joe Lewis Shelton and Sandra Soldholt and sister; Michelle Davis.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory five children; two daughters April Davis of West Des Moines, IA and Angie Martin of East Moline, IL; three sons Michael Davis of Davenport, IA, Christopher Lucas of Rock Island, IL, and Daytravius, one granddaughter; Mikayla Davis of Kansas City, KS, two grandsons; Brylen Dixon of West Des Moines, IA and Nasir Martin of East Moline, IL, one brother; Reginal Anderson of Baton Rouge, LA three sisters; JoAnn Shelton of Cortez, PA, Michelle Sigers (Jerrell) of Houston, TX, Betty Smith (D.C.) of Houston, TX, two uncles; Soloman Shelton (Jerley) of Rock Island, IL, Edward Shelton (Linda) of New Mexico, two aunts; Mary Clark (Willie) of Fort Worth, TX and Liz Brice (Roy) of Lake Providence, LA, three nieces; Iyonna Davis and Ashley Shears of Rock Island, IL and Riesha Tate of Davenport, IA and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The family of Robert M. “Heavy” Davis extends their heartfelt appreciation for the many acts of kindness and support shown to them during the homegoing of their loved one. We pray God’s continued blessings on each of you.
