Robert F. Lehnherr, 91, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2005. For the past 18 months he has been living at the Ridgecrest Retirement Village in Davenport, IA. He formerly lived in Moline IL and Naples FL. At his request, his body has been cremated and a private family service will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
Bob Lehnherr was born in rural Monroe, WI, January 6, 1914. He graduated from Madison Business College in 1936 and worked for Kraft Foods Company for 40 + years. At the time of his retirement in 1976 he was the Regional Sales Manager in Milan, IL. Bob Lehnherr was a WW2 vet serving 2 ½ yrs in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Ridgecrest Church affiliation, and a former member of the Kiwanis Club, Short Hills Country Club and Masonic Temple.
Bob Lehnherr will always be remembered for his outgoing personality, positive and upbeat outlook on life and zest for living! He will be deeply missed by all his family and large circle of friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Lucile Skutley Lehnherr.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Harriet, son Bob ( Pat) Lehnherr, Dewitt, IA, daughter, Mari (Michael)l McCuistion, Colleyville, TX. Step children, Jilane (Paul) Savigano, Moline , Bob (Pam) Swieringa, Ithaca NY. Grandchildren : Lori Johnson, Magnolia, AK , Rob Lehnherr, West Dundee Il, Kate Croucher, Melbourne, Australia, John Swieringa , Denver CO, Elizabeth Swieringa , Boston MA, Paul Savigano, San Diego, CA, Mark Savigano, Boulder, CO Greatgrandchildren :Jeffrey Meyers, Maggie Lehnherr.
