Robert “Bob” Kunz, 86, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, with his family by his side.
Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, immediately followed by a time of sharing for family and friends at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will take place following services at Trimble Crematory.
Robert Alvin Kunz was born November 8, 1934, in Idaho, the son of Leonard and Ethel (Woodward) Kunz. He married the love of his life, Linda White, on July 20, 1963, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He worked for International Harvester for over 31 years, retiring in 2002. He was a Master Mason and cherished his daily morning coffee with friends. He enjoyed playing guitar, especially on Wednesdays with his friends, and was known for his $2 guitar lessons. He also loved watching football and spending time with his family. He never sat still, keeping busy gardening, taking pictures, picture framing, and building things.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of over 58 years, Linda; two grandchildren, Rebecca (Michael) Swingle, and Nicci Houzenga; two great-grandchildren, Emily Swingle and Taylor Kiger; and a niece, Sue Steele. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Marvin L. Kunz.
