Rixin Yan, 45, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008, in his home.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Oakdale Memorial Park, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation is 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Rixin Yan Memorial Fund, which has been established at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union.
Rixin Yan was born August 19, 1962, in Hu Nan, China, the son of Haijun Yan and Xilan Jiang. He married Ling Jiao on December 25, 1985, in Xiang Tan, China. The couple came to the United States in 1992, and were soon to become US Citizens. He had his PhD in Mathematics and for the past 10 years, was Senior Computer Engineer for Aquent Consulting Company, East Moline.
Rixin was a good husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was a thoughtful person who cared for others, a good Christian man and was proud of his family. He enjoyed playing volleyball.
He is survived by his wife, Ling Jiao; his son, Jingzhou Yan of Champaign, Illinois; his mother, Xilan Jiang and three brothers in China; and many close friends.
