Rito G. Sotero

Rito G. Sotero, 43, of Moline, Illinois, died enexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

Private family services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline.

Rito was born May 22, 1977, in Mexico, the son of Marcial and Josafina Sotero. He married Maria Guadalupe Arana on August 26, 2000, and the couple had three children.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Godo is survived by his wife, Maria; three children, Christian Sotero, Jacqueline (Marc Munoz) Sotero, and Alexander Sotero; mother, Josafina Arellanes; siblings, Miguel Navarrete, Candido (Laura) Arellanes, Juana Luna, and Avigarl Herrera; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorena Avila.
