Ricky L. Hamburg

Ricky L. Hamburg, 70, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, May 7, 2017, in his home.

There will be a hospitality gathering for family and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in CityView Celebrations on the lower level of Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, and entombment will be in the Columbarium at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Ricky was born August 16, 1946, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Wayne and Donna Tornquist Hamburg. He served in the US Air Force, and married Harriett Edwards on February 2, 1968. He was parts department manager for Sexton Ford in Moline for 27 years, retiring in 1996.

Ricky is survived by two sons, James Hamburg and his fiancé Shuron Evans of Rock Island, and Timothy Hamburg of Bloomington, Illinois; his mother, Donna Hamburg of Silvis, Illinois; five grandchildren, Tanner, Jacob and Trevor Hamburg and Eboni and Raymond Evans; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Joseph VanVooren of East Moline; and his former wife and her husband, Harriet and Louis Reddish of East Moline.
