Richard C. Parker, Sr.

Richard C. Parker, Sr., 75, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

He was born on December 24, 1947 in Moline, IL, to Richard James and Edna Mae (Larsen) Parker (deceased).

He was a welder for Case I.H. and retired after 32 years.

He loved all things cars from working on cars, race cars to collecting and painting model cars.  He loved fishing and going to Maid-Rite.  He also enjoyed cooking breakfast on the weekends when he could.  He also loved Calligraphy and creating family trees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Parker and sister Linda Duffy and one granddaughter Jessica Grace Parker.

Survivors include his five children, Richelle (Jim) Scott of Moline IL, Richard Jr. (Dennise) Parker of Auburn IL, Jeffrey Parker Sr. of Milan IL, Renee (Jonathan) Morgan of Holts Summit MO, Jill (Matt) Clong of Moline IL; seventeen grandchildren, Abigail (Jalen) Taylor, James (Amelia) Scott, Christopher Scott,  Lisa Parker, Richard Parker III, Alexus Parker, Jeffrey Jr. (Jaklynn) Parker, Ashley Parker, Ava Parker, Matthew Parker, Benjamin Larrison, Jacob Larrison, Gabriella Morgan, Jon Morgan II, Parker Clong, Carter Clong and Aiden Clong. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be directed by Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
