Richard H. Janes

Richard H. Janes, 63, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, August 20, 2023, at home.

Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Richard Harvey Janes was born April 4, 1960, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Corder and Edith (Bowman) Janes. He graduated from Moline High School in 1978 and went on to marry Julie Otten on October 23, 1993, in Rock Island.

He worked as an auto mechanic for Eriksen Chevrolet, McLaughlin Motors, and then with his son at Piehl Motors.  He enjoyed working on cars, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.

Rick is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Alex Janes; granddaughter, Isabella Miller; siblings, Robert (Rose) Janes, Jackie (Richard) Utley, and Kevin (Michele) Janes; and several nieces and nephews.
