Reyes Ruiz, 52, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at home.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline, with Father Patrick Wille officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, immediately followed by visitation from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. 

J Reyes Ruiz Romero was born August 9, 1971, in La Loma, GTO, Mexico, the son of Jose Ruiz Almanza and Maria Luz Romero. He married the love of his life, Rosa Maria Hernandez Morales on February 21, 1995, and the couple was blessed with three children.

He enjoyed working, playing tennis and volleyball, music and being outdoors. He was always willing to help friends and family in need. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Reyes.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosa; three children, Monica Ruiz Hernandez, Anahi Nicole Ruiz, and Isaac Ruiz Hernandez, all of Moline; his parents, Jose Ruiz Almanza and Maria Luz Romero; and siblings, Maria Muñoz, Jose Federico Ruiz Romero, Jaime Ruiz Romero, Uriel Ruiz Romero, Gabriela Ruiz, Elena Magana, and Rosario Ruiz.

Una Misa de Entierro Cristiano se llevará a cabo a las 10:00 a.m. el viernes 12 de julio en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María, Moline, con el Padre Patrick Wille oficiando. Se rezará un Rosario a las 4:00 p.m. el jueves 11 de julio en la Sala Horizon de la Funeraria Trimble en Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, seguido inmediatamente por una visita de 4:30 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. El entierro será en el Cementerio de Santa María, East Moline.

J Reyes Ruiz Romero nació el 9 de agosto de 1971 en La Loma, GTO, México, hijo de José Ruiz Almanza y María Luz Romero. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Rosa María Hernández Morales, el 21 de febrero de 1995, y la pareja fue bendecida con tres hijos.

Disfrutaba trabajando, jugando tenis y voleibol, la música y estar al aire libre. Siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar a amigos y familiares en necesidad. Por encima de todo, la familia era lo más importante para Reyes.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Rosa; sus tres hijos, Mónica Ruiz Hernández, Anahí Nicole Ruiz e Isaac Ruiz Hernández, todos de Moline; sus padres, José Ruiz Almanza y María Luz Romero; y sus hermanos, María Muñoz, José Federico Ruiz Romero, Jaime Ruiz Romero, Uriel Ruiz Romero, Gabriela Ruiz, Elena Magaña y Rosario Ruiz.
