Rene M. Oakley

Rene Oakley, 49, of Davenport, Iowa, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at home.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Prior to services cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Rene was born November 1, 1966, in Davenport, the daughter of Marvin and Sandra (Emery) Brown. She married David Rasler in 1985. She later married Joshua David Oakley in 1994.

She managed River Mart in Davenport for over 15 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling, and enjoyed crafts of all kinds such as scrapbooking, knitting, and drawing. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Rene is survived by three children, Nathanial Rasler of Tampa, Florida, Kasandra and David Dickerson of Davenport, and Michael Bloomberg of Rock Island; two grandchildren, Novalee and Layla; her mother, Sandra Mitchell of Davenport; siblings, Michael and Beth Brown of Colorado, Dawn and Leslie Drumm of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Guy Brown of Davenport; several nieces and nephews; and Trisha Piper Parker and Donna Hahn, who were just like a daughter and sister to her. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Beth Ann Brown.
