Rebecca “Becky” (Stewart) Bazor, 69, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Moline.
Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Tanner Payton officiating. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
Becky was born January 16, 1953 to Raymond “Mike” and Lorrain Stewart. Becky was a 1970 graduate of Alleman High School.
She met the love of her life, Larry Bazor, in 1990 and married him on August 31, 1997, in Rock Island. She retired from Alcoa in 2016. She loved riding her bike on the canal.
She had quick wit and a fluent F bomb when the time was right – a legacy she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was everyone’s Mom when her kids were younger and it was a common occurrence for her to have countless bodies strewn throughout the house on any given weekend. She knew when it was time to be a Mom and a time to be a best friend. And she was the best at both. She accepted and loved everyone as if they were her own children. She was The Great and Powerful Oz. She was a Ma, a G-Dog (because that’s cooler than being a Gramma), and a loving GG. All names she took great pride in. Her greatest accomplishment was her children and her grandchildren, all of whom strive to be just like her.
She leaves behind a heartbroken family who will carry on and make her proud. Those left to love her forever are her husband, Larry; children, Vicki (Scott) Bowers, Patrick (Zina) Kemble, Jacob Bazor, and Heather (Josh) Lewis; grandchildren, Kori (Zach) Schoeve, Olivia (Dustin Bronson) Harding, Tayler (Orlando Rodriquez) Rockwell, Jeffrey Harding, Darian Harding, Savannah Harding, Austin Hallas, and Marissa Kemble; great-grandchildren, Kahlia, Brooklyn, Bennett, Eleanor, and Oliver; her brother, David Stewart; her beloved cat, Abbey; and her grand-dog, Midas, who she loved “first, best, and last”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Lorrain, and a son, Larry Bazor, Jr.
