Moline, Illinois Ray M. Zimple, 71, of Moline, died Friday, October 24, 2003, in Illini Hospital, Silvis, Illinois. Funeral services are 6:30 p.m. Monday evening at Elim Covenant Church, 5201 18th Avenue, Moline, with The Reverend John Jacobi officiating. Private Family burial will be Tuesday morning in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or the Heart Fund. Mr. Zimple was born April 2, 1932, in Traer, Iowa. He married Linda Anderson Fitch on July 5, 1974, in Moline. He was an over-the-road semi driver for Roadway Express for 31 years, retiring in 1996. He was a very active member of Elim Covenant Church, Moline, former president of the Teamsters Retirees, and a member of Moline Viking Lodge. He loved his busy schedule with family and friends, enjoyed country western music, and played the accordion. Ray is survived by his wife, Linda; eight children, Bruce Zimple of Austin, Texas, Debbie Zimple and Donna Harmon, both of Bettendorf, Steven Quillin David Quillin, Pam Quillin, Michele Maranda, and Rodney Fitch; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
