Randy L. Nelson, 49, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, October 8, 2005, in his residence.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Roger Christianson officiating. Friends are invited to join the family at a gathering at River House, Moline, following the funeral service. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice or Lymphoma Research Center.
Randall Lynn Nelson was born April 21, 1956, in Moline, the son of August and Vera (Buhler) Nelson. He married Kathleen Mallek on August 13, 1977, in Moline. He was the owner and operator of Technical Enterprises, Moline, which was started by his father 35 years ago.
Randy loved fishing and enjoyed golfing, restoring cars, and working in the yard and landscaping.
Randy is survived by his wife, Kathie; two sons, Johnathan Nelson and Jeffrey Nelson, both of Moline; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Richard and Marguerite Nelson of Moline, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Chris and Rick Bacus of East Moline; a nephew, Sean Nelson; nieces, Brandy Hilburn and Jessica Thorpe; and several aunts and cousins.
