Moline, Illinois Services for Randy L. Byers, 43, of Moline, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Randy died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. He was born January 7, 1961, in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Lawrence and Rosetta (Cochran) Byers. He married Shirlie Martin McNeely in the hospital's chapel on Friday, March 5, 2004. He was employed at Dalziel Enterprises, Eldridge, Iowa, and previously was an independent construction contractor. He enjoyed woodworking, model cars, and camping. Randy is survived by his wife, Shirlie, a son, Jake, and his mother, Rosetta, all of Moline; siblings and their spouses, Peggy Murphy of Kewanee, Christine and Dave Boswell of Williston, Florida, Mike and Connie Byers of Galva, and Kelly and Dave Duncan of Vancleave, Mississippi; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; step-daughters and a step-son-in-law, Michelle Miller of Springfield, Missouri, and Christie and Dan Dahlgren of Lake City, Minnesota; step-grandchildren, Paige, Morgan and Tex Miller and Austin Dahlgren; and special friends who were like a brother and sister to him, Brian and Lisa Ruhl of Moline.
