Ramona R. Stanley

Ramona R. Stanley, 69, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Boone, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Aspire of Muscatine.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Ramona Rae Seeman was born February 2, 1956 in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Rita (Steelsmith) Seeman. Ramona, known as Mona, attended school in Beaver and Ogden, Iowa. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1974 and later received an Associate‘s Degree from Des Moines Area Community College. Ramona was united in marriage with Joseph Gregory (Greg) Stanley in September, 1987 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ogden, Iowa. They later divorced. 

Ramona waitressed at several restaurants throughout her life. She also worked at CDS in Boone for several years. Her most recent work was as a Caregiver through Home Instead. Ramona enjoyed crocheting and latch hook as well as gardening. She also liked listening to music.

Ramona is survived by three children, Melissa Hodne of Boone, Iowa, Stephanie Stanley of Ames, Iowa, and Elijah Stanley of Ames; Grandchildren, Anna Van Dorn, James R. Van Dorn, Brendan Stanley and Cale Stanley. She is also survived by her aunt Valerie Kempton. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, siblings Steve Seeman and Glenda Stoeffler and previous husbands Bill O. Anderson and Larry A. Hodne.
