Ralph E. Granby

Ralph E. Granby, 86, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Friday, April 3, 2020, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Ralph Edward Granby was born July 18, 1933, in Utica, Michigan, the son of Horus and Myrtle (Gilbert) Granby. He married Martha Jane Wirick on August 14, 1954, in Utica. She died in 2000. He worked as an inspector at ITT Higbie in Rochester, Michigan.

He enjoyed life, God and fishing. His favorite saying was “Do you know God loves you?”

Ralph is survived by three children, Betty Jane Gammey of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Mary Bunce of Bettendorf, James Granby of La Vergne, Tennessee, and Paul Gnabasik of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and children, Phyllis Detroyer, Curtis Granby, Doug Granby, and Donny Granby.
