Illinois City Funeral services for Phillip ''Tip'' Fuller, 74, of Illinois City will be Thursday at 11:00 Am at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial with Military Honors will be in Eliza Creek Cemetery, Eliza, Illinois. Visitation is 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Phillip Fuller Memorial Fund. Phillip died on Monday, October 8, 2001 at his daughter's home in Lynn Center, Illinois after a long battle with cancer. Phillip was born on August 25, 1927 in Mercer County, Illinois to Orvie and Minnie (Smith) Fuller. He was previously married to Faye Harland Benningfield. She preceded him in death. Phillip was an Army Veteran of World War II. He farmed near Illinois City, was a truck driver, carpenter and had also worked on the pipeline in Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a 'Jack of all trades'. Phillip is survived by eight children and their spouses: Donna and Butch Becker of Moline; Bonnie and Gary See of Springfield, OH; Leonard Fuller of Peachtree, GA; Kenny and Becky Fuller of Lynn Center; Monica Peters and Frank Bearce of Lynn Center; Orvie And Debbie Fuller of Taylorville, IL; Warner and Carol Fuller of Moline and Roger and Kelly Haynes of Davenport; 5 sisters: Betty Reynolds of Monmouth; Dolly McKeown of Muscatine; Phyllis Danner of Illinois City; Minnie Tarbell of Promise City, IA and Nina and Doc Lake of Muscatine. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Candice Diane in infancy; a sister, Helen Curry; and two brothers, Melvin and Warner.
