Ken Piliponis

Ken Piliponis, 60, of Peoria, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, October 22, 2011, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with Fr. Donald Levitt officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Kenneth Andrew Piliponis was born August 27, 1951, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of William and Cecelia Simaitis Piliponis. He graduated from Moline High School in 1968, and served in the United States Navy.

Ken is survived by siblings, Glenn Piliponis and his wife Jane of East Moline, William Piliponis of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Veronica Piliponis of Dunwoody, Georgia; and five nieces and nephews and their families.
