Peggy A. Cannon

Peggy A. Cannon, 71, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Ridgecrest Village, surrounded by love.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Peggy Ann Cannon was born on June 1, 1953, in Ohio, to her loving mother, Dorine Crable. On July 4, 1990, she married the love of her life, Michael Joseph Cannon, in the backyard of their Davenport home, beneath two cherry trees. Their love story was beautiful, and though he passed on January 13, 2005, his memory remained forever in her heart.

She worked at the Corn Patch Inn in West Davenport for over 5 years. In her free time, she loved to crochet and read. You could find her crocheting blankets, socks, hat, potholders, etc. 

Family was the heart of Peggy’s world. She had a special bond with her daughter-in-law, whom she called her own, and the two were inseparable. But nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her grandchildren. Whether taking them on car rides or simply sitting together, her love for them knew no bounds.

Peggy is survived by her children, Ryan Barnhart and Dale (Priscilla) Barnhart; grandchildren, Bryce Housworth-Barnhart, Trey Barnhart-Mathias, Heather Barnhart-Mathias, Kayla (Brody) Barnhart, Braden Barnhart, Hunter Barnhart, and Mason Barnhart; 3 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Kevin (Chris) Long, David Crable, Carol Garcia, Sandy Crable, and Patricia Crable. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother.
