Rock Island, Illinois Pauline I. Canavit, 78, of Rock Island, died Monday, July 15, 2002. in Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Private services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Chapel of Virtues at Moline Gospel Temple. The Reverend Paul Lindblad will officiate. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation for family and friends is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The former Pauline Imogene Agans was born December 14, 1923, in Schuyler County, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Florence (King) Agans. She married Harold Wayne Canavit on August 31, 1941, in Kahoka, Missouri. He died July 20, 1985. She had been a member of Moline Gospel Temple. Her whole life revolved around her children and grandchildren. Pauline is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Dawn Canavit of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Harold Scherer of Davenport, Iowa; two grandchildren and their spouses, Tony and Lori LaMantia and Heather and Bubba Reetz; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Betty Agans of Bushnell, Illinois; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gladys and Bob France of Industry, Illinois, and Frances Phares of Macomb, Illinois; and a special friend and cousin, Norma Agans of Macomb.
