Paul M. Nagovan

Paul M. Nagovan, 81, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. There will be no services. Burial will take place at a later date at Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Paul was born November 11, 1937, in Buffalo, Iowa, to Michael and Sarah (Smith) Nagovan. He married the former Sharon Friend on March 25, 1983, in Sioux City, Iowa. He worked for Firestone for 40 years, mostly as store manager, retiring in 2002.

Family was the most important thing to Paul. He was also an excellent pool player, and an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of over 35 years, Sharon, 9 children, 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Nagovan and Sarah Smock, and a brother.
