Paul E. Grooms

Paul E. Grooms, 59, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.

Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1^st Street, Coal Valley.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, and burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Paul was born June 5, 1963, in Madison, Indiana, to Charles Norwood Grooms II and Kathleen Peddie Grooms.  He married Pamela Shields in October 1993, in Madison.  He was employed as a health physicist at the Rock Island Arsenal retiring in 2020.  He had many hobbies, including racing remote control cars and boats, woodworking, mushroom hunting, watching and feeding birds, and spending time with his friends. 

Paul is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughter, Emily Grooms of Geneseo, Illinois; siblings and their spouses, Charles N. III and Nancy Grooms, Anna Laura and Rick Berry, and Kirk and Jennifer Grooms, all of Madison.
