Patrick J. McDonnell

Patrick J. McDonnell, 65, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport. 

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Patrick John McDonnell was born June 27, 1958, in Rock Falls, Illinois, the son of Terrance and Marie (Kelley) McDonnell. He married the love of his life, JoAnn Menes on October 14, 2004, in Davenport, Iowa. 

He worked at John Deere for a little over 15 years before retiring in 2022. He was a member of the local 865 UAW. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and fishing. He enjoying spending most of his time outdoors or with friends and family. Above all else, he cherished having a garden each year with JoAnn. 

Patrick is survived by his wife, JoAnn; children, Diana Hepler, Elizabeth Phillips, and Michael (Lindsay) McDonnell; four grandchildren; and siblings, Susan Chamberlain and Ed McDonnell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry McDonnell; and a son-in-law, James Hepler.
