Patricia E. Baraks

Patricia E. "Patty" Baraks, 57, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, Illinois.

Services are 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Tim Snart officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. After services, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, with burial in Coal Valley Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

She was born July 5, 1958, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Clara (Pederson) Beaird. She worked for Wonder Bread, Sara Lee, and Oscar Mayer.

When Patty wasn't helping others, her passion was horses and horseback riding. She loved animals, especially large dogs, and was a big proponent of the Humane Society.

Patty is survived by two sons, Ronnie and Erica Baraks of Hampton, Illinois, and Jeffrey "Tubby" Baraks of Coal Valley; five grandchildren, Andrew, Allyson, Anna, Abby, and Mackenzie; and siblings, Walter and Jackie Beaird of Moline, twin brother Patrick and Theresa Beaird of Coal Valley, Johnny and Chris Beaird of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Terry and Michelle Beaird of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her in-laws, Ron and Dorothe Baraks of Coal Valley; and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Beaird.
