Memorials may be made to the family to be used for a memorial garden in Pat's honor.
The former Patricia Ann Neff was born November 6, 1934, in Moline, the daughter of William Henry and Lorene Rose (Decker) Neff. She married Bernard James Green on January 17, 1953, in Moline. He died December 1, 1976. The other love of her life was Stan Land, with whom she spent 25 happy years. Her employment included Servus Rubber, American Air Filter, Epic Foods, and the Moline International Airport.
Pat lived her life by three simple rules: 1. You make your own fun. 2. Never judge people. 3. Always be kind. Pat enjoyed a good game of cards, loved to shop, and enjoyed traveling the world with the Triumph Travel Club. She lived on the Rock River for nearly fifty years, and watching the beautiful sunsets over the water was her favorite part. She loved the sun and always said it renewed her. The most important thing in the world to Pat was her family, and she shared a loving bond with her daughters. Pat's four grandchildren were her pride and joy, which grew with the addition of great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her GiGi (Great Grandma).
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Wilson, and Linda and Randy Johnson, all of Moline; grandchildren James and Lisa Baraks of Daphne, Alabama, Risa and Manuel Lopez III of Galesburg, Spence and Season Johnson of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Tyler Johnson and Bess Lippmann of Davenport; great-grandchildren, Alex Lear, Colin Baraks, Cela, Manuel IV, Mia, Cora, and Blaise Lopez, and Brooklyn, Camden, Addison, and Finley Johnson; siblings, Cheryl Karben, Chuck and Delores Neff, and Larry and Jan Neff, all of East Moline, Marilyn Larson of Moline, and Kitty Walker of Colorado; sister-in-law, Pam Neff of Bettendorf; Stan's son, Rick Land and his partner, Eric Knapp, of Janesville, Wisconsin; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Green, her partner in life, Stan Land, and two brothers, Denny and Robert Neff.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Tom Ade, Dr. Acosta, and Dr. Pothula, and their staffs, as well as the nurses and aides with UnityPoint Hospice, for their wonderful care and kindness.
