Norma Pierce

Norma Pierce, 89, of Colona, Illinois, died Monday, February 5, 2024, at Aspen Ridge Care, Lehi, Utah.

Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline, Illinois.   Burial is 11:00 a.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Those wishing to attend should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe at 10:45 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to a veterans organization of one’s choosing.

The former Norma Newland was born May 12, 1934 in Inglewood, California, the daughter of Wilford Henry and Georgia Killian Newland.  She married Raymond D. Pierce on July 28, 1955, in Fairbanks, Alaska.   He died December 31, 2012.

She was the wife of a veteran that served 20 years in the Air Force

Norma is survived by her sons, Raymond (Tammy) Pierce of Orem, Utah, Wayne (Tamara) Pierce of Savannah, Georgia, and Wesley (Jean) Pierce of Orem, Utah; grandchildren, Raette Woodward and Michael, Jason, Ashley, Sariah, and Lucas Pierce; eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, William Scott Pierce, her mother and father, a brother and two sisters.
