Norma M. Van Oteghem, 95, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, February 19, 2018, in her home.
Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday at First United Presbyterian Church, Moline, with the Rev. Dr. Gregory Graybill officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 Thursday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or to a favorite charity.
The former Norma Mae McCartney was born October 7, 1922, in Moline, the daughter of Richard and Mae (Weisinger) McCartney. She married Robert C. Van Oteghem on August 2, 1941, in East Moline, Illinois.
Norma was an active member of First United Presbyterian Church, Moline, where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the Presbyterian Women's Association and Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and her Friday shopping outings. Above all else, she loved spending time children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 76 years, Bob, a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Linda Van Oteghem, and grandsons, Steve and David Van Oteghem, all of Moline, great-grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, and Gabrielle Van Oteghem, and Alyssa Nuno, and great-great-grandchildren, Lucy and Eden Van Oteghem, and Avery Byrne. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Van Oteghem, and her grandson, Jeffrey Van Oteghem.
