Norma B. Dohrn, 81, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Moline, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in Pathway Hospice at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf, Iowa.
There will be no public visitation or services. A private family service will be held at Moline Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice, 4500 Utica Ridge Rd., Bettendorf, Iowa 52722, or Shriners Hospitals, 2211 N. Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60707. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
The former Norma Blanche Brown was born July 22, 1924, in Dundee, Illinois, the daughter of Ray and Darlene (Hawley) Brown. She married Wayne E. Dohrn on August 13, 1942, in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1985.
She was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, and Lady Elks in Moline and Florida.
Norma is survived by her three children and their spouses, Gail and Frank Jones of Moline, Gary and Marcia Dohrn of Lynn Center, Illinois, and Tee and Gary Bender of Humble, Texas; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jones Sinnott and her husband Don of Oswego, Illinois, Tony Bender and his wife Amber, and Heath Bender, all of Kingwood, Texas, Heather Dohrn Schmit and her husband Matt, and Joe Dohrn and his wife Ashley, all of LeClaire, Iowa; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Darlene Carroll of Urbana, Illinois, and Lou Dene Horton of Davenport, Iowa. She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter and a sister, Barbara Hageman.
