Nina J. Hart, 84, of Milan, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Nina’s life will be held Sunday, March 12, beginning with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline., immediately followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. The celebration will continue with a hospitality gathering at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe until 5:00 p.m. Private burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Nina Jean Workheiser was born January 12, 1939, in Moline, the daughter of Stewart and Mary Elizabeth (Strickland) Workheiser. She married Lawrence Lee Hart on May 31, 1959, in Moline. He passed away April 7, 2022.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, ceramics, golfing, and fishing (especially family fishing trips to Minnesota). Above all else, Nina loved spending time with her family.
Nina is survived by three children, Deborah (Patrick) Cram of Rock Island, Jeffrey (June) Hart of Longwood, Florida, and Karen (James Jr.) Jager of Blue Grass, Iowa; five grandchildren, Danielle Cram, Samantha (Anthony) Doran, Emily Hart, Dalton (Jenna) Hart, and Brett Hart; five great-granddaughters; a sister, Janet Allen of Escondido, California; and sisters-in-law, Nancy (Robert) Ball, Jeanette “Jean” (Kent) Claussen, and Kathy Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
