Nelda J. “Jody” Warren, 87, of West Liberty, Iowa, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty. 

A gathering to celebrate Jody’s life is 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at The Mill Sports Lounge, 110 E 4th Street, Wilton, Iowa. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

The former Nelda Joan Kness was born November 6, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Hopkins) Kness. She worked for Rockwell Collins for many years.

She was a talented woodcarver who also enjoyed painting and other arts and crafts. She loved animals and listening to music, especially John Denver and Neil Diamond.

Jody is survived by her son, Scott Warren of Wilton, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Chris and Rhiannon Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Mossberger; and her son, David Warren.
