Naomi R. Johnson

Naomi Rebekah Johnson 44 of Coal Valley, Illinois, graduated to Heaven on Saturday May 28, 2016.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at Heritage Church, Rock Island, on Thursday, June 2, from 5pm to 7pm. Memorials may be made to the family. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline

Naomi was born January 30, 1972, in Moline, to Terry and Linda (Schlitter) Johnson of Coal Valley. She attended Orion High School and graduated in 1990. Naomi received her certificate of Nail Tech from Capri College in Davenport, Iowa. She maintained a great love for horses from when she was very young and was awarded many barrel racing awards.

Naomi leaves behind one daughter, Breanna Etoy Toney and her boyfriend, Alex Wirt; her father, Terry Johnson of Coal Valley; older sisters, Deb McVeigh and her husband Ken, their children, Kati Watts and husband Elijah and their children, Keali and Evea, Sean and Hank, all of Lincoln, Nebraska and Trevor Kappelman of Cambridge, Illinois; and Tera Morales and her husband Rich, and their children, Alexander, Macs, Cole, and Isabella of Coal Valley, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda; grandparents, Dale and Opal Johnson and Fritz and Darlene Schlitter; aunt, Pat Oaks; great-aunt, EvaDell Ruberg; great-uncle, Max Ruberg; and cousin Kelly Johnson.
