Graveside services for Nanette M. Scott, 92, of Silvis, formerly of Moline will be 10:30 AM, Saturday at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Kathleen McCafferty of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation is prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be given to Oak Glen Home. Nanette Scott died Sunday, January 13, 2002 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. The former Nanette Marie High was born on August 27, 1909 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Jessie (Ellis) High. She married Alexander J. Scott on January 19, 1929 in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1962. Nanette was a clerical worker with Carlson Brothers in Moline, retiring in 1980. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading and gardening. She had formerly belonged to the Sweet Adelines, and Harmony Incorportated. She was formerly a PTA member and Brownie leader. Nanette is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: James E. & Frances Scott of Tamarac, FL, and John A. & Janice Scott of Rock Island; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn J. and Fred T. Eberhardt of Moline and Judith A. & Alex Pikuza of Moline; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Virginia, Dorothy and Jane and 3 brothers, Robert, Charles and John.
