Nancy A. DeVilder, 86, of East Moline, Illinois, died Friday, February 16, 2018, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Moline, with the Rev. Dan Witkowski officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday at City View Celebrations in the lower level of Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or the American Heart Association.
The former Nancy Ann Brandt was born June 29, 1931, in Moline, the daughter of Willis and Marjorie (Hull) Brandt. She married Eugene D. DeVilder on January 1, 1977, in East Moline.
Nancy worked for John Deere over 30 years, first at John Deere Spreader Works for 14 years, then John Deere Export Order Department for 6 years, before retiring in 1986 as a payroll clerk for John Deere Parts Distribution in Moline.
She was an active member of First Lutheran Church, Moline, and enjoyed reading, computers and crosswords. She loved being with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Gene, of East Moline; children, Willis "Bill" and Delores Graham of Silvis, Joan and Robert Pfeiffer of Punta Gorda, Florida, Bradley and Jody Allen of Phoenix, Arizona, Jill DeVilder and Jeanine Cowen of Boston, Massachusetts, and Kathleen Mabeus of Hampton; grandchildren, Amy Weires, Sherry and Josh Marti, Jennifer and Bryan Atkins, Tennille and Avery Burton, Brad Foster, Shiela Portela, and Benjamin, Zachary and Jacob Cowen-Whitman; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Patti and John Grant; and a sister-in-law, Helen Brandt of Moline. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey DeVilder and William Allen, and a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Lee Brandt.
