Nadine E. Isaacson, 74, of Silvis, Illinois, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, in UnityPoint Health ? Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where Rose Chapter #626, Order of Eastern Star, will conduct Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Carbon Cliff United Methodist Church.
The former Nadine Eva Carlson was born February 10, 1939, in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Leonard R. ?Shorty? and Darlene M. Erdmann Carlson. She married Charles D. ?Zeke? Isaacson on September 28, 1963, in Carbon Cliff, Illinois. In earlier years, she was secretary to Leo Dawson, Superintendent of United Township High School, and worked for John Deere.
Nadine was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, where she was past matron of Rose Chapter, past Grand Warder for Illinois, and past Grand Representative to Utah in Illinois. She was a member of Carbon Cliff United Methodist Church where she was active in the prayer shawl ministry, and a member of Silvis Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting.
Nadine is survived by her husband of 50 years, Zeke; her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Brian Janroy of Layton, Utah; two grandsons, Jonathan Janroy and his wife Hailee, and Zachary Janroy; two great-grandchildren, Micheyla and Myrisa Janroy; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary R. and Gloria Carlson of Colona, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Randall Isaacson.
