Leslie Fulscher, 61, of East Moline, Illinois, died suddenly Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Peace Lutheran Church, 20828 Friedens Road, Port Byron, Illinois, with The Reverend Richard Housman officiating. Burial is in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
Leslie Noel Fulscher was born December 25, 1945, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Donna Mae (Hanna) and Raymond Frank Fulscher, After high school and one year of college, he served his plumbing apprenticeship with his father at Ray?s Plumbing in Silvis, and also worked as a machinist at John Deere for four years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He married Karla Votava on October 6, 1973, in Milan, Illinois. After his military service, he worked at Ray?s Plumbing from 1970 to 1978, and then joined Coene?s Star Plumbing and Heating, East Moline, where he worked for 28 years, retiring in 2005. Since retiring, he has worked for Ken Curry Construction in East Moline,
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Byron, and Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 25, Rock Island. He loved anything with motors, and was an avid drag racer, snowmobiler, and water skier. He was a one-of-a-kind plumber and craftsman.
Les is survived by his wife, Karla; two sons, Ryan L. Fulscher of Neenah, Wisconsin, and Jared A. Fulscher of Le Claire, Iowa; his mother, Donna Fulscher of East Moline; a brother, Gary V. Fulscher of LaSelva Beach, California; and a sister and brother-in-law, Thada and Gary Peters of Bettendorf, Iowa.
