Molly Jones

Molly Jones, 92, of Clearwater, Florida, died Sunday, July 21, 2024, in North Pinellas Care Center, Palm Harbor, Florida.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations on the lower level of Trimble Pointe following the burial. Memorials may be made to Suncoast Hospice or National Down Syndrome Society.

The former Molly Lavina Arnold was born May 3, 1932, in Brooklyn, Illinois, to Harrison and Jessie (Moore) Arnold. She married Kenneth Jones on January 7, 1950, in Rushville, Illinois. He died May 17, 2019. She was the owner of Orange Blossom Groves and catered many private affairs in the Quad Cities for over 30 years. She belonged to the Clearwater Women’s Club, and volunteered at Value Village in Clearwater. She enjoyed crafts.

Molly is survived by her son, David Jones of Clearwater; three grandchildren and their spouses, Neill and Anne Jones, Nicole and Scott Purcell, and Kyle Jones; and four great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Nilo Jones and Bailey and Jackson Purcell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a son, Ricky Jones; a daughter-in-law, Jenise Jones; and siblings, Edith, Sara, Geneva, Nettie, Reba, Allie, Robert, Henry, and Vern.
