Coal Valley, Illinois Minnie L. Harvey, 70, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Saturday, October 11, 2003, in her home. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Moline, with The Reverend Paul R. Zittlow officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Memorials may be made to the church, where she was a member. The former Minnie Lou Bakalar was born July 30, 1933, in Monroe County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mae (Vangilder) Bakalar. She married Mark B. Harvey on July 17, 1959, in St. Charles, Illinois. Minnie is survived by her husband, Mark; eight children and their spouses, Rickey Lee and Vicky Harvey of Colona, Ronald G. and Nicole Harvey of Rock Island, Cheryl K. Wheaton of Grandville, Michigan, Lori A. and Richard Price of Streator, Illinois, Mark B. II and Amy Harvey of Moline, Martin B. and Kris Harvey of Moline, Lisa R. and Tim Rogerwall of East Moline, and Sandra D. and Kurt Biesterfeld of Streamwood, Illinois; a step-daughter, Doreen A. Passow of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and fifteen brothers and sisters and their families.
