Mildred A. Buban

Matherville, Illinois Mildred A. Buban, age 89, of Matherville, Illinois, died Monday, February 17, 2003 at Aledo Health & Rehab Center, Aledo, Illinois. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Matherville, with the Reverend John Thieryoung celebrating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a rosary service at 7:00 pm at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Viola, Illinois; memorials may be given to either M.A.D.D. or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The former Mildred Alberta Morey was born November 18, 1913 in Viola, Illinois the daughter of George and Bertha (Bolt) Morey. She married Charles D. Buban on June 23, 1934 in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1983. Mrs. Buban was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Matherville, and enjoyed Sewing. Survivors include; three grandchildren, Marla and Stan Miller, Dan Matkovic, and John and Lori Matkovic all of Matherville; seven great-grandchildren, Jason Miller, Stacey Miller, Karissa Matkovic, Charlie Matkovic, Brittnee Matkovic, Brandee Reaves, and Jacob Reaves; three great-great-grandchildren, Tayler Erickson, Madison Miller, Sydney Miller; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Alice and Louie Sheldon of Rock Island, IL, and Marie Johnson of Aledo. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and John Matkovic, great-grandson, Cole Matkovic, three sisters, Dorothy Stratton, Georgia Davison, and Betty Cavanaugh, and a sister in infancy.
