Colona, Illinois Michael W. Jones, 50, of Colona, Illinois, died Thursday, November 8, 2001, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Thomas Peterson, Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his children. Michael Wayne Jones was born June 20, 1951, in Moline, the son of Wayne and Delores (Zimmerman) Jones. He graduated from Moline High School in 1969. He married Rae Ann (Randi) Zahnow on December 12, 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas. Mike owned and operated Automotive Services, Moline, for the past five years. He previously worked at several new car dealerships in the Quad Cities. He was a NASCAR fan and collector, and loved his family. Mike is survived by his wife, Randi; a son, Michael, and a daughter, Amanda, both at home; a step-daughter and her husband, Melisa and Buddy LeMaster of Moline; his mother, Delores Jones of Moline; six siblings and their spouses, Gary and Christine Jones of Stillwell, Oklahoma, Debbie Cunningham and Mark Rodriguez of Moline, Cheryl and Stu Ebner of Plymouth, Minnesota, Rick Jones of Moline, Bill Jones of Moline, and Denise and John Teague of Elkton, Maryland; an aunt and uncle, Betty and Bill Bornhoeft of East Moline; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
