Michael J. E. Utley, 35, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, August 30, 2014, in St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Jason's Box. Following the burial, Mike's family invites friends to join them at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe.

Michael Jay Emmett Utley was born March 3, 1979, in Tacoma Washington, to Richard Lee and Carol Lee Bush Utley. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, the Green Bay Packers, Jeff Gordon racing, video games, and animals, especially rats and cats.

Mike is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol and Michael Eggermont of Murphysboro, Illinois; his father and step-mother, Richard and Jacquelyn Utley of Coal Valley, Illinois; grandmother, Naola Craft of Davenport, Iowa; brother Richard Utley Jr. and his fiancée Melissa Greer of East Moline; step-brother, John Gruebel of Coal Valley; nieces and nephew, Emily Greer, Mike Utley, and Sophia Utley, all of East Moline; and aunts and uncles, Kathy and Huck Rhodenbaugh of Moline, Shelby and Shelly Behrens and Lisa Bush, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joseph and Marilyn Bush of Florida, Roxann and John LeBarge of Davenport, and Rose Liddy of Matherville, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Dwayne Utley; and grandparents, Ralph Bush, Jr., and Virginia and Emmett Utley.
