Maurine J. Hurt, 83, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died, June 21, 2005 at Moncks Corner Medical Center, Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Services are 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 27, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, where she was a member, with the Reverend Tim Snart officiating. Visitation is from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley.
Maurine Joy Rosenberger was born July 30, 1921 in Colfax, Iowa, where she attended schools, daughter of Edwin Christian and Myra Louisa (Glider) Rosenberger. Maurine married Robert Samuel ?Sam? Hurt, May 16, 1970 in Coal Valley. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1982. Maurine enjoyed quilting and made it her goal to make a quilt for each of her grandchildren for their high school graduation.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Hurt, Coal Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Norma Jean and John Palmer, Coal Valley; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Howard Yeager, Moline; stepson and daughter-in-law, Sam and Shirley Hurt, Peoria, Illinois; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
