Maude I. Benadom, 101, of DeWitt, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, and Moline, Illinois, died Monday, October 27, 2008, in Mercy Living Center, North (formerly Wyncrest Nursing Home), Clinton, Iowa.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be in Flora Cemetery, Neponset, Illinois. Visitation is 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the family.
The former Maude Isabell Streicher was born August 13, 1907, in Bureau County, Illinois, the daughter of Frank S. and Florence (Lehman) Streicher. She married Dr. William A. Benadom, Sr., on August 11, 1932, in Galena, Illinois. He died January 11, 1940. She was an inspector at Norris Industries in California for 9 years, retiring in 1975. She was a former member of Eagle Lodge and Moline Senior Citizens, and loved to dance and travel.
Maude is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Franklin D. and Sandra Benadom of Dewitt, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sisters, Helen Weber and Nina Holzinger, both of Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Mildred I. Coffey; a son, William A. Benadom; five brothers, and three sisters.
