Moline, Illinois Services for Mary M. Stodt, 95, of Moline, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Alpha Cemetery, Alpha, Illinois. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where Davenport Chapters #178 and #541, Order of Eastern Star, will conduct a service at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses or Moline Senior Citizens. Mrs. Stodt died Saturday, January 4, 2003, in River Park Health Care Center, Rock Island. She was born August 10, 1907, in Alpha, Illinois, the daughter of John H. Bland Jr. and Lucia Lucinda (Shaw) Bland. She graduated from Alpha High School, and was matron of Resthave Nursing and Retirement Home in Morrison, Illinois. She married Richard J. Stodt on July 19, 1927, in Duluth, Minnesota. He died May 5, 1960. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Waterloo, Iowa, for over 50 years, and enjoyed embroidery, canning, and playing any kind of card game. In earlier years, she loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Mary is survived by several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and two sisters.
