Mary L. Carlin-Medina

Mary L. Carlin-Medina, 76, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, with her family by her side.

Graveside services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline, at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

The former Mary Louise Almanza was born June 3, 1944, in Moline, the daughter of John and Virginia (Navarro) Almanza.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in East Moline. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, and collecting mineratures of all kinds. Above all else family and her faith were the most important thing to Mary.

Mary is survived by her beloved children, Alan (Lynn) Carlin of East Moline, Debora Sierra of New Windsor, Illinois, Kenneth Carlin of Bettendorf, and Angelica (Dave) Krumwiede of Moline; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rosemary (Don) Lopez, Al (Linda) Almanza, Mona (Mark) Reyes, Paul “Tony” (Brenda) Almanza, Rita Almanza, Luis Almanza, and Mark Almanza; a sister-in-law, Tracy Almanza; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter at birth, Wendy; and brothers, Ricky and Mario Almanza.
