Mary L. Arndt

Mary L. Arndt, 88, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, April 28, 2014, in The Terrances of Los Gatos, Los Gatos, California.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at Immanual Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Outreach Ministries Endeavor (C.O.M.E.), P.O. Box 24799, San Jose, CA 95154, or a non-profit of the donor's choice.

The former Mary Louise Scherer was born June 15, 1925, in Moline, Illinois, to Lawrence and Florence Sittler Scherer. She married John Edward Arndt on April 12, 1947. He died May 2, 2009.

Mary is survived by two children and their spouses, Rebecca and Pat Guerra of San Martin, California, and John L. III and Leslie Arndt of El Dorado Hills, Calironia; and three grandchildren, Paul Guerra, Elizabeth Guerra, and John Arndt IV.
