Mary Elizabeth Bittner was born January 19, 1956, in Plymouth, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frances and Elaine (Grimes) Bittner. She married the love of her life, Gary Kerofsky, on February 12, 1977, in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
She was an amazing, funny, sensitive woman, a devoted wife, and an ever-present mother whose love knew no bounds. She made a difference in countless lives as a mental health nurse. Known as a “legend” in her field, she served the community through Genesis Visiting Nurses, Vera French, Robert Young, among others.
Mary is survived by her adoring hubby, Gary Kerofsky; her daughter and best friend, Clare Lindahl; her loyal sister, Nancy Bittner; and many family members she loved with her whole heart. She is preceded in death by her siblings Judy, Barbara, and Michael Bittner, who were surely waiting for her with open arms.
She believed, and often reminded us, that “the road goes on forever and the party never ends.” And she lived accordingly—with laughter, porch chats, good meals, and a knack for finding the fun in everyday life.
